Carlisle Cricket Club, Edenside, Carlisle, CumbriaFounded in 1892, Carlisle Cricket Club's 1st XI play in the North Lancashire and Cumbria Cricket League Premier Division. Our 2nd XI play in the Eden Valley Cricket League Premier Division and our 3rd XI play in the Eden Valley League Premier Division. The Edenside Academy play in the Eden Valley Cricket League 3rd Division.
 
The Cricket Club also runs a midweek team, Two Under 15 sides, Two Under 13 sides and two Under 11 sides. Unfortunately, at present, there is no ladies team.
 
Membership starts at £20 for a Full Member (non-playing) and a full list of membership fees can be seen on our Membership page.
 
Accreditation
 
Carlisle Cricket Club has been awarded the ECB ClubMark accreditation. This indicates that we have demonstrated that we are fully equipped in every sense to look after youngsters and promote cricket to the young people of our local community.
 
To comply with ClubMark regulations we have a Club Welfare Officer.
 
Carlisle CC has also adopted and is fully committed to the ECB document "Safe Hands - Cricket's policy for Safeguarding Children as is laid out in our Club Welfare Statement. To read this statement please click here.
 
Location
 
Carlisle Cricket Club is based at Edenside Cricket Ground. The ground is just to the north of the River Eden off the A7, the main road heading north from the city towards Scotland. The entrance to the ground is the first turning to the left after crossing Eden Bridges when heading north. Edenside is within 1 mile of the Citadel Railway Station and the Bus Station. The compact city centre shopping area, with all the major High Street names, is a 10-15 minute walk away. For maps showing the location of the cricket ground click here.
 
Visitors Welcome
 
The bar in our pavilion is open to Members and Visitors. Totally refurbished after the devastating floods of January 2005, the bar offers a range of draught and bottled beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Admission to the ground is free, so if you wish to enjoy a game of cricket at in a relaxing and friendly setting, please feel free to pay us a visit.
 
Please note, that in accordance with the new Law, in both the Main Pavilion and the Jimmy Little Pavilion, Carlisle Cricket Club operates a strict No Smoking Policy. For more information on this new Law click here.
